We frequently participate in international commercial arbitration cases, under various arbitration rules, including those of the International Chamber of Commerce, ICSID and UNCITRAL. Likewise, we represent our clients in alternative means of dispute resolution, including mediation.
Tender Processes and Public Sector Purchases
The Firm has extensive experience in advising on public bidding procedures, restricted invitation and direct assignments in accordance with the Law on Acquisitions, Leases and Services of the Public Sector and the Law on Public Works and Services Related Thereto, of the Federation, as well as the States, in different matters, among which the pharmaceutical sector, infrastructure and telecommunications projects, projects before the Federal Electricity Commission, Mexican Petroleum, etc. stand out.
Likewise, we have the knowledge and capacity to deal with possible negotiations and challenges within these processes, including non-conformity appeals, review and contentious-administrative trials.
Intellectual property
We represent clients in a wide variety of matters related to trademarks, copyrights, patents, trade secrets and other legal matters related to intellectual property. Our intellectual property practice involves the registration and searches of trademark registrations, and the protection of copyrights, as well as the negotiation and preparation of franchise agreements, technology transfer, technical assistance, licenses for the use and exploitation of trademarks, patents , industrial knowledge and secrets, and trade names. The practice in this area also includes the management of contentious procedures and resources, including contentious administrative trials in matters of intellectual property and Amparo trials.
